Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.
