In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature abilities: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
